The fast rise of the social networks around the world, made it a good source for all type of sociality whether online and offline.

One of the most used and most popular social network is Twitter, and it became a big source of news after the people covered the protests against Iran’s elections on 2009, ever since Twitter became one of the fastest and most trusted source of information all over the world.

Using the popularity of Twitter, people and organizations started using it for charity, and one of the Twitter based charity organization is Twestival, so what is it?

Twestival® (or Twitter Festival) uses social media for social good by connecting communities offline on a single day to highlight a great cause and have a fun event. Twestival is the largest global grassroots social media fundraising initiative to date. Since 2009, volunteers have raised close to $1.2 million for 137 nonprofits. All local events are organized 100% by volunteers and 100% of all ticket sales and donations go direct to projects.

There are a local Twestival events happening in Cities all over the world on 24 Mar, 2011, including Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A group of Twitter addicts and charity enthusiasts took the initiative to start the first local Twestival in Riyadh, and after a poll conducted on Twitter and Facebook, the team decided to support Ensan, The charity Committee for Orphans Care.

The goal is to raise at least SR 60,000.00 to help supporting at least one Orphan for Life Fund.

Other than getting a good deed and Ajer from Allah, which is the most important thing, there are many benefits for donating to this amazing and live changing event, including media coverage in several channels, mentions by more than 100,000 followers in Twitter and Facebook and much more.

Thoughts about Egypt's protests

Just like anyone around the world, I’ve been closely following what’s happening in Egypt since Jan 25, the day the historical “Anger Day” started, where the Egyptians were -and still are- trying to remove the current government, which has been led by Hussni Mubarak for the last 30 years.

By watching what’s happening on TV and Youtube and reading about it on Twitter, Facebook and other online sources, I’m really convinced that the government is using a low methods to corrupt the peaceful protests, which then will justify using lethal methods to break the protests without any intervention by the world.

We see a group of gangs robbing banks and stores, setting cars and buildings on fire, attacking the people on their homes, stealing from the crowd, and harassing the protesters. We see gangs with weapons hurting the people.

The police and army forces disappeared for few days to let those gangs destroy the private and public property, to confuse the protesters and led them to think about their safety and forget about the protest.

The people didn’t fall for this dirty trick, they made their own “public” forces to protect their families and property along with the public property.

The government then sent its thugs to fight the honest protesters, thugs riding horses and camels, armed with knifes and pipes to fight with the crowd in a divide-and-conquer plan.

Mubarak and his corrupt government is playing all their dirty cards against their own people, but those people will never give up and will never stop till Mubarak leaves the country, and an honest new government takes over to ensure the safety of the people, and obey their demands. Government from within the people, elected by the people.

ملاحظة: هذا الموضوع قد كتبته مسبقا في موقع ماك للعرب

اشتهر في الأونة الأخيرة متصفح جديد لجهاز الأيفون ينافس متصفح سفاري اسمه سكاي فاير، فما هو هذا المتصفح؟ وما المميز فيه؟

سكاي فاير هو متصفح متعدد الأنظمة من إنتاج شركة سكايفاير الأمريكية، يتميز هذا المتصفح بامكانية عرض مقاطع الفيديو عبره مباشرة وذلك عن طريق تمرير الموقع عبر خوادم الشركة ومن ثم تحويلها لصيغة اتش تي ام ال 5 والتي يمكن عرضها عن طريق الأيفون.0

الأمر لا يقف عند هذا الحد، يستطيع المتصفح أيضا تشغيل العديد من تقنيات الويب والتي لا يمكن تشغيلها أحيانا عن طريق متصفح سفاري، مثل الجافا، والأجاكس، وذلك بتمريرها عبر خوادم الشركة إلى المتصفح، وبشكل لا يؤثر على أداء المتصفح والجهاز.0

من مميزاته أيضا إمكانية إختيار طريقة عرض الموقع المرغوبة سواء عرض الموقع بنسخة المتصفح أو عرضه بنسخة الأيفون.0

يمكن من خلال المتصفح مشاركة رابط الموقع الحالي في مواقع الشبكات الاجتماعية مثل فيسبوك وتويتر وغيره عبره مباشرة، مما يوفر عناء نسخ وصلة الموقع ومن ثم لصقها مباشرة في تلك المواقع أو في برامج وسيطة أخرى. ويمكنك أيضا من الاطلاع على حسابك في فيسبوك أوتويتر بدون مغادرة الموقع الحالي أو المتصفح.0

إحدى الميزات الرائعة في المتصفح هو إمكانية إظهار معلومات إضافية عن الموقع الذي تزوره حاليا سواء مقاطع فيديو، كتابات تويتر، صور وغيره، وذلك بضغطة زر.0

يوفر هذ المتصفح أيضا إمكانية التصفح الأمن، حيث يمتنع المتصفح عن تسجيل بيانات عن المواقع التي تزورها عند تفعيل هذا الخيار.0

وبالتأكيد جميع الخدمات الافتراضية في المتصفحات الأخرى مثل اضافة موقع للمفضلة، التحكم في المفضلة، فتح صفحات متعددة، البحث، وغيرها، متوفرة في هذا المتصفح.0

بالرغم من كل المميزات الموجودة في هذا المتصفح، ولكن هناك عيوب لاحظتها حاليا ويجب ذكرها، وهي
يمكن أن يكون التصفح بطيئا أحيانا وذلك بسبب مرور المواقع عبر خوادم الشركة كما ذكرت سابقا، وبسبب الضغط عليها.0
المتصفح لا يدعم جميع مواقع عرض الفيديو المتوفرة على الانترنت ولكن أغلبها، والعدد في زيادة.0
المتصفح لا يدعم الألعاب بصيغة فلاش.0
يمكن شراء هذا المتصفح فقط عبر متجر التطبيقات الخاص ببعض الدول وهي: الولايات المتحدة، كندا، استراليا، نيوزلاندا، ودول الاتحاد الأوروبي.0

RockMelt, a new social networks browser

Today I finally got my invitation to Beta test the new browser RockMelt after a long wait.

RockMelt is a new browser based on Chromium, the open source web browser project, the same project used by Google to develop its new browser Chrome.

This browser combines the social networks capability (Facebook, Twitter… etc) with an amazing web browser.

When you open the browser for the first time, you will be asked to log in with your Facebook account, after that, the browser creates a list of your friends on the left sidebar. Using this list you can chat with your friends, send them messages, write on their walls, share the current website with them and more.

On the right sidebar you will find list of streams from your Facebook account, Twitter account and your favorite websites. On this list you can use all Facebook features eg Likes, Comments and read your friends status and watch their videos and photos directly from this bar. You can also use all Twitter features eg Replies, Retweets and also Share your favorite Tweets and more.

On the top bar you will find the basic website and search fields, plus a Share button to share the current page on Facebook or Twitter.

This browser can import all your favorites, passwords and browsing history from other browsers like Google Chrome, which will make it easier for you to start surfing the Internet immediately and connect with your Facebook and Twitter friends at the same time.

Setting up this browser is a painless task, because it uses the same platform used by Google Chrome, and nowadays many people used to Chrome’s settings.

I really see some great future for this project, and hopefully it will include more social networks to connect with in future updates.

You can register for a Beta test invitation by connecting your facebook profile with rockmelt.com.

Finally, please keep in mind that the current version of the browser is a BETA VERSION, so if you get invited, you should expect some bugs and crashes as the developers are still working on it.

App Review: Flixster

As a big movies fan, I’ve created a note on my iPhone to list movies I want to watch. In time, as the list kept growing, sometimes I forget why I want to watch some of them, until one day one of my friends gave me the solution, Flixster.

Flixster™ is a social movie site allowing users to share movie ratings, discover new movies and meet others with similar movie taste

Wikipedia

In this app you can see top box office movies, movies opening this week, upcoming movies in this year and future years. You can also check the movie release date weather in cinema or DVD.

Using the device’s GPS capability, this app can locate the closest cinema theaters to you, movies showtimes and even restaurants and night life places, but since we don’t have Cinemas in Saudi Arabia, we can’t use this feature, yet .

After signing in this app weather through their own ID or using facebook ID, you can start rating & reviewing movies, adding movies to your “movies I want to see” list, linking with your facebook and Netflix account and more.

When you choose a movie, you will get its details such as, trailer, synopsis, ratings, running time, release date (theater and DVD), director, cast, users/critics reviews and more.

This app uses Microsoft Bing’s services to search for photos and other details, and it’s the parent of “Rotten Tomatoes” the movie reviews website.

You can download this app for free from the US app store only, and it works with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Plus other mobile phone operating systems such as, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone.

I really recommend downloading this app, especially for movies addicts, they will love it, like I do.

كيفية تسجيل نطاق عربي جديد (.السعودية) مع استضافته في قودادي

مقدمة

في الخامس من شهر مايو 2010 أعلنت منظمة “ايكان” المسؤولة عن بروتوكولات الانترنت عن ادراج أولى أسماء النطاقات العربية في الثلاث دول التالية

المملكة العربية السعودية (.السعودية)0

الامارات العربية المتحدة (.امارات)0

جمهورية مصر العربية (.مصر)0

في نفس الشهر، بدأت المملكة العربية السعودية عبر المركز السعودي لمعلومات الشبكة (سأسميه “المركز” اختصارا في باقي الشرح) التابع لهيئة الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات، “المرحلة الخاصة” لتسجيل النطاقات العربية – للجهات الحكومية، شبه الحكومية والجهات الخاصة – كأول دولة في العالم تطبقه فعليا.0

في أواخر شهر سبتمبر 2010 أعلن المركز بدء المرحلة الثانية من مراحل تسجيل النطاقات العربية “المرحلة العامة” حيث يمكن لعامة الشعب طلب الحصول على نطاق عربي مجاني، عبر موقعهم على الانترنت.0ف

عند سماعي عن بدء المرحلة العامة – من خلال موقع عالم التقنية مشكورين- قررت طلب النطاق الخاص بي (“فهد-الحامد.السعودية” والطلب حاليا تحت التنفيذ، بأمل الموافقة عليه في أقرب فرصة) *.0

تحديث 2010-10-03: تمت الموافقة على الطلب بعد تغيير اسم النطاق إلى “فهد-بن-حامد.السعودية” وذلك تماشيا مع شرط مطابقة اسم النطاق لاسم الشخص أو المنظمة في أوراقه الثبوتية.0

في هذه الأثناء قررت كتابة موضوع لشرح كامل العملية، في هذا الموضوع سأتحدث بالتفصيل مع الصور – بعد التجربة – عن كيفية طلب نطاق عربي جديد من خلال المركز واستضافته في موقع قودادي، مع ملاحظة أن الموضوع قابل للتحديث حسب المتغيرات في طلب النطاق او استضافته.0

في الصفحة الرئيسية للموقع ، اضغط على وصلة مستخدم جديد يسار الصفحة للتسجيل

في الصفحة التالية يجب تعبئة جميع الخانات المطلوبة بشكل صحيح ودقيق

عند الانتهاء من التسجيل سيطلب منك الموقع تفعيل التسجيل عبر الضغط على وصلة التفعيل المرسلة لبريدك الالكتروني المسجل في المرحلة السابقة.0

بعد التفعيل توجه الى صفحة الموقع لتسجيل الدخول

طلب نطاق عربي جديد

بعد تسجيل الدخول، اضغط على زر”تسجيل نطاق جديد” اسفل يمين الصفحة

في صفحة تسجيل النطاق يجب تعبئة كامل الخانات المطلوبة بشكل صحيح ودقيق خصوصا خانة “معلومات النطاق” والتي يسجل فيها اسم النطاق المطلوب و “معلومات المسجل” والتي يسجل فيها معلومات مُسجل النطاق

يمكن أن تكون معومات خانتي “المنسق الاداري” و “المنسق التقني” متشابهة مع المعلومات المدخلة في مرحلة التسجيل في الموقع عند الرغبة وذلك باختيارها من القالب

اخر الصفحة يتم وضع أسماء خوادم النطاقات

تحدد اسماء خوادم النطاقات بحسب تاريخ الانضمام في موقع قودادي، لمعرفة اسماء الخوادم الخاصة بك أرجو زيارة صفحة الدعم في موقع قودادي

الصفحة التالية خاصة بالوثائق المطلوبة لاكمال طلب تسجيل النطاق، الصورة التالية تشرح تفاصيلها

بعد الانتهاء من المراحل السابقة سيتم الانتقال الى مرحلة “فحص الاستضافة” للتأكد من معلومات مستضيف اسم النطاق ثم مرحلة “مراجعة الطلب” للتأكد من صحة المعلومات المدخلة

مرحلة “فحص الاستضافة” لن تنجح الا بعد تسجيل اسم النطاق في موقع قودادي، في هذه المرحلة يجب أن يكون قد تم استضافة النطاق في قودادي (سيتم شرح طريقة الاستضافة بالأسفل)0

بعد انهاء المراحل السابقة سوف يتم ارسال بريد الكتروني للمنسق الاداري المسجل مسبقا للموافقة على الطلب، بعد الموافقة يوجه الطلب اليا للمركز لمعالجته وسيتم الرد بالموافقة أو الرفض خلال أيام قليلة

استضافة النطاق في موقع قودادي

يشترط وجود استضافة لدى موقع قودادي على خوادم وندوز الداعمة لتقنية اي اي اس 7 لاضافة اسم النطاق من خلالها، مع ملاحظة الاختلاف بين انواع الاستضافات وطريقة تأثيرها على اسم النطاق العربي، للمزيد من المعلومات أرجو زيارة موقع الدعم الفني في قودادي بالضغط على هذا الرابط و هذا الرابط.0

لن يتم شرح طريقة شراء استضافة في موقع قودادي في هذا الموضوع، يمكن زيارة صفحة عروض الاستضافة في الموقع لاختيار العرض المناسب ومن ثم تحميل دليل التحكم بالاستضافة الرسمي لمعرفة كيفية إدارة الاستضافة.0

في البداية يجب الذهاب لموقع قودادي لتسجيل الدخول إلى حسابك.0

بعد تسجيل الدخول توجه إلى منتصف الصفحة واضغط على “استضافة الويب” تحت تصنيف “المنتجات” كما بالصورة التالية

ستظهر لك اسفلها قائمة جديدة، اضغط على زر الدخول بالجهة اليمنى

في الصفحة التالية اضغط على تصنيف “اعدادات” ومن ثم اضغط على زر “ادارة النطاقات” كما بالصورة التالية

بعد الانتقال للصفحة التالية، اضغط على زر “اضافة نطاق” يمين الصفحة

سيظهر لك مربع اضافة النطاق، قم بتعبئة اسم النطاق في الخانة السفلية ثم اضغط على زر موافق

في المربع السابق يجب تعبئة اسم النطاق بعد تحويله من اللغة العربية الى لغة ترميز اسكي حتى يفهمها الموقع، لعمل ذلك يجب الذهاب لأداة التحويل التي يوفرها المركز، ومن ثم تحويل اسم النطاق.0

سيكون اسم النطاق مشابه للتالي

بعد اضافة اسم النطاق المحول، يتم الانتظار حتى تصبح حالة النطاق الجديد “مُفعل” كما في الصورة التالية

بذلك يكون تم استضافة النطاق بنجاح في موقع قودادي، مما سيؤدي إلى نجاح مرحلة “فحص الاستضافة” في موقع المركز.0

V, an old school breathtaking SciFi Series

One of my “geek” friends told me about an amazing – Independence Day style - SciFi series called “V”, my first impression was “a new old school SciFi series I think I’ll check it out later”.

Few weeks later I decided to purchase the full first season, after I watched & loved a free episode of the series earlier.

V is a Science Fiction series that aired on ABC channel on November 2009 as a re-imagining of a show aired on 1983 with the same name.

A story about a new alien chips arrives above the major cities around the world, next thing their queen announces that they are “coming of peace”, while they have their own hidden ugly agenda for earth.

I remember after I watched the first episode I wrote my impression about it on Twitter, and I said:

Just watched 1st episode of #SciFi TV show called “V”, there were 2 much details on it, Aliens, Conspiracy & Resistance. I like it thought

After continually watching the episodes I managed to finish the complete season in a couple of days with one thing on mind, when the heck the second season will air (which will be on November 2010 by the way).

It’s a really good old-school SciFi series, I really recommend watching it.

What Twitter Grader is trying to measure is the power, reach and authority of a twitter account. In other words, when you tweet, what kind of an impact does it have?

Twuffer

Using this service you can create list of posts to be posted automatically in a specific date/time.

Twuffer allows the Twitter user to compose a list of future tweets and schedule their release.

Monitter

Monitter will allow you to monitor tweets with a specific word(s) in real time.

It’s a twitter monitor, it lets you “monitter” the twitter world for a set of keywords and watch what people are saying

المواقع الحكومية السعودية بين سوء التصميم، قلة المحتوى وإنعدام الخدمات

تمر المملكة في مرحلة تطور كبير من ناحية الحكومة الالكترونية والتي تسهل على المواطن إجراءاته وتخفف على الدوائر الحكومية العمل والضغط. هذا التطور يتطلب ان توجِد الدوائر الحكومية انظمة مواقع انترنت متطورة وديناميكية لتستطيع مواكبة التطور وتقديم أفضل الخدمات.0

هذا المتوقع والمفروض، ولكن للأسف أغلب المواقع الحكومية تعاني من مشاكل كثيرة ما بين سوء التصميم، الأخطاء البرمجية، الاعتماد على تصاميم وتقنيات أكل عليها الزمن وشرب، هذا غير قلة وقدم المحتوى، وإن كان المحتوى مُحدَّث فسوء صياغته وكتابته تجعله غير قابل للقراءة.0

طبعا الكلام هذا ينطبق على أغلب المواقع الحكومية وليس كلها، يوجد مواقع حكومية قوية التصميم، كثيرة الخدمات، تعتمد على تقنيات جديدة ومتطورة، ومحتواها غنى بما يهم المواطن.0

عكفت جريدة الرياض بالمناسبة منذ فترة على عمل تقييم فني محترف على مواقع الدوائر الحكومية لإظهار مميزاتها وعيوبها، وتنبيه مديريها لتحديثها أو حتى إعادة النظر في كامل تصميمها.0

يتم تقييم محتوى المواقع باستخدام معايير دولية وذلك من خلال ما يلي:0

التحليل الفني – التحليل الأمني – نظرة عامة للموقع – تحديث البيانات – جودة البيانات – الفعالية – الكفاءة

أظهرت نتائج تقييم المواقع الحكومية أن أغلبها يشترك في العيوب التالية:0

بعض الصفحات لا تزال تحت الإنشاء من فترة طويلة – التأخر في تحديث المحتوى – عدم التعريف بالجهة – عدم وجود خاصية البحث – عدد من الروابط لا تعمل - إلخ

يكفي أن تعمل بحث سريع من خلال قووقل لتجد كثير من المواقع الحكومية، ادخل بعض منها وسوف تجد اغلبها ينطبق عليها العيوب السابق ذكرها.0

سبب ذلك من وجهة نظري هو أن القائمين على هذه المواقع ليسو ذوي خبرة في التقنية ولا يعرفون الدور الهام والرئيسي الذي يقدمه الموقع، حتى أن بعض الجهات تعتمد على شخص واحد فقط في إدارة الموقع، وهو نفس الشخص الذي قام بتصميم الموقع باستخدام أدوات تعتبر قديمة جدا في عالم التصميم، وعند غياب هذا الشخص لأي سبب يتوقف العمل على الموقع!!0

نحن في عصر الخدمات الالكترونية، وهذا العصر يحتاج إلى مواقع ذات تقنية متطورة تحت إدارة أناس ذوي خبرة كبيرة في هذا المجال، وذوي الخبرة من أهل البلد كثيرون لكن للأسف لا يوجد من يدعمهم، ويساعدهم لتطوير أنفسهم.0

جريدة الرياض بتقييمها للمواقع الحكومية تساعد في تسريع عجلة تطور الخدمات الحكومية الالكترونية، فلهم جزيل الشكر على ما قامو به.0

24, the end of a journey

Today I watched the last episode of the last season of the most amazing TV show I’ve ever watched in my life – and I’ve watched a lot – 24.

24 was a journey full of action, sadness, shocks, conspiracies, betrayals and heartbreaks. I spent the most entertaining hours of my life watching the whole eight seasons of the show during the past couple of years.

During this journey I’ve become a big fan of the leading actor Kiefer Southerland, as he played the role of “Jack Bauer the CTU agent” very well.

According to Reuters, Fox is thinking about creating 24 the movie, which is a good news for me and the other fans, but still, a 2 hours movie is nothing like 24 hours TV Show.

I really wish Fox TV didn’t cancel the show, but at the end it’s a business decision as the number of viewers was very low comparing to season 7.

Anyway, nothing lasts forever, and everything has to end at some point.

Today I declare the end of the 24 journey, and what a journey.

Goodbye Jack Bauer and Chloe O’Brian. Goodbye Tony Almeida and Kim Bauer. Goodbye 24 and everyone, we will miss you. :’(

Testing Firefox 4.0 Beta

Firefox has been my favorite Internet browser for a long time, until Google created its rival “Chrome”, ever since, most of my browsing went through Google Chrome.

But deep inside of me I still want to use Firefox -as a big fan- but the crashing problems and being slow to load on my PC makes me use Chrome instead.

On the last couple of days I read that Mozilla has created the first Beta of Firefox 4.0, so I decided to do some Beta testing, and here are the Pros and Cons so far.

Before I start, here is a link to download the Beta version from.

Pros

It has a completely new and awesome design.
Loading a website is much faster.
Good to have the ability to show/hide the menu bar.
Never crashed while testing.
Flash is working perfectly.
The loading is faster than the other versions of FF.

Cons

There is no (Minimize, Maximize or Close) buttons on the top right corner when the menu bar is hidden.

The loading is slower than some other browsers (Google Chrome for example).
The operating system will treat any new tab as a stand alone window.

Moving the tabs around is still not smooth enough.
Some website (like Youtube) is not opening properly.
The tabs are not closing sometimes.
On full screen mode, you have to hover the mouse many times on the top of the browser to see the other tabs.
Sometimes it takes forever to load a website.

These are some of the Pros and Cons I found on the new version, and I’ll update this post as soon as I find some more.

Waze is a mobile app/service that lets the users create there own up-to-date GPS maps.

The idea is to track the user’s movements to draw the road’s map.

Waze is a social mobile application providing free turn-by-turn navigation based on the live conditions of the road.
100% powered by users, the more you drive, the better it gets.

It will allow us to create a free GPS map full of all the new places including malls, coffee shops, stores and much more.

All you have to do is drive while the app is open, and start drawing.

توصيل الايباد بالانترنت عن طريق الايفون

منذ أعلنت شركة أبل عن جهاز الايباد وأنا في حالة فوران منتظرا اللحظة التي سأشتري الجهاز فيها، وما ان سمعت عن نزوله حتى قررت شراء نسخة الثري جي من الجهاز، ولكن بما أنه ليس لدينا أبل ستور رسمي من شركة أبل بالسعودية، ولا يمكننا شرائه عن طريق الانترنت، بدأ التجار بإستيراد الأجهزة ورفع أسعارها لأقصى الحدود.0

بعد بحث وتحري قررت أن أستقر على نسخة الوايفاي كحل مؤقت لشفاء غليلي وذلك لغلاء أسعار نسخة الثري جي، وخصوصا أنني سمعت أنه يمكن توصيل الايباد بالانترنت عن طريق الايفون والذي أمتلكه بالفعل.0

بعد ساعات من العبث واللعب بالأجهزة إستطعت بالفعل تشغيل الانترنت بالايباد عن طريق الايفون، وهذا هو الموضوع الأساسي لهذه التدوينة.0

بإذن الله سأذكر في هذه التدوينة وبالتفصيل كيفية تحويل الايفون الى جهاز مودم للايباد وجميع الأجهزة التي تقبل خاصية الاتصال بشبكات الوايرلس.0

في البداية يجب توضيح بعض الأمور:…….0

اتصال الايباد أو أي جهاز آخر بالانترنت عن طريق الايفون ممكن أن يكون أمرا مكلفا ويمكن أن يتسبب بارتفاع مبلغ الفاتورة.0

العملية التي سيتم شرحها تتظمن فك شفرة الايفون (جيلبريك)، والتعديل في ملفات النظام، وهي عملية ممكن أن تؤدي إلى نتائج وخيمة لغير المحترفين.0

البرنامج المطلوب لتفعيل الخدمة (ما واي) يكلف حوالي عشرة دولارات، وهو يستحق بالفعل أكثر من ذلك.0

يجب أن يكون إصدار سوفتوير الايفون 3 وما فوق.0

يجب ألا يكون قد تم عمل جيلبريك للايفون من قبل.0

يجب أن يكون جهاز الايفون مفتوح على جميع شركات الاتصالات بشكل رسمي من قبل شركة ابل.0

يجب أن يكون الجهاز قد تم تفعيله بالفعل، وليس في حالة “الاتصال الطارئ” أو “واجب التوصيل بالايتيونز”.0

أنصح وبشدة عمل نسخ احتياطي للايفون عن طريق الايتيونز قبل البدء في تطبيق هذه الخطوات.0

أخيرا، جميع البرامج المستخدمه في هذه الخطوات هي من تصميم أناس أخرين، وليس لي أي علاقة في تصميمها، ولا أضمن ألا تتسبب بمشاكل لجهاز الايفون.0

بسم الله نبدأ…….0

أولا: عمل جيلبريك للأيفون باستخدام النسخة الجديدة المسماة “سبيريت” باتباع الخطوات التالية:…0

واحد: الذهاب الى موقع سبيريت وتنزيل البرنامج المناسب لنظام التشغيل الخاص بك….0

اثنين: بعد تنزيل البرنامج وتشغيله، تأكد بأن الايفون متصل بالجهاز وظاهر بالايتيونز، بعدها اضغط على زر جيلبريك كما في الشاشة التالية

سيقوم البرنامج بعمل جيلبريك للايفون وستكون واجهته كالتالي

أثناء تلك العملية ستتغير شاشة الايفون الى شاشة مشابهة لسحابة ملونة وبها شريط تحميل (للأسف لم استطع وضع صورتها لعدم امكانية تصويرها عن طريق الايفون).0

بعد الانتهاء من عمل الجيلبريك للايفون، وبعد اعادة تشغيله اليا ولأكثر من مرة في بعض الأحيان، أدخل للايفون وتأكد من أنه تم تحميل برنامج سيديا (أيقونته في الصورة التالية) وهو برنامج مشابه للاب ستور من ابل، ولكن يمكن من خلاله تركيب البرامج التي لم تسمح بها شركة ابل.0

بعد ذلك ارجع لبرنامج الجيلبريك في جهازك واضغط على زر الانهاء كما في الصورة التالية

بعد اغلاق البرنامج توجه لبرنامج سيديا بالايفون، والذي سيقوم بعمل بعض الحديثات ويطلب منك الموافقة على بعض الشروط إلخ، ومن ثم سيقوم باعادة تشغيل الجهاز لأكثر من مرة في بعض الأحيان.0

الان تم الانتهاء من عمل الجيلبريك للايفون بنجاح….0

ملاحظة، صور برنامج سبيريت مأخوذة من موقع أيفون إسلام مع الشكر

في حالة تشغيل البرنامج على بيئة ويندوز، يفضل وضع البرنامج في وضعية “التوافق مع ويندوز 98″ وذلك عن طريق الضغط على البرنامج بالزر الأيمن للفأرة واختيار خصائص، ومن ثم التوافق، واختيار ويندوز 98 كما في الصورة التالية

ثانيا: تركيب برنامج “ماي واي” لتفعيل خدمة الاتصال بالانترنت عن طريق الايفون باتباع الخطوات التالية:…….0

في برنامج سيديا، اذهب إلى خانة البحث، وابحث عن برنامج ما واي كما في الصورة التالية

ملاحظة: قد يكون هناك اختلاف بسيط جدا بين الواجهة التي ستظهر لك والصور الموجودة في هذه التدوينة وذلك لتركيبي لبرنامج ما واي في جهازي الخاص.0

بعد الدخول إلى البرنامج، إضغط على زر انستال في أعلى يمين الشاشة

بعد الإنتهاء من تركيب البرنامج سيظهر لك أيقونة البرنامج (يسار) وهي التي سيتم تشغيل الخدمة عن طريقها، وأيقونة إعدادات موقع البرنامج (يمين) لتحديثات البرنامج.0

عند الدخول لبرنامج ما واي، سيطلب منك التسجيل في موقع “روك يور فون”، بعد ذلك سيكون البرنامج جاهز للعمل على جهازك لفترة تجريبية مدتها ثمانية أيام، ولشراء المنتج يجب التوجه لموقع “روك يور فون”، وتسجيل الدخول باستخدام المعلومات التي سجلتها خلال عملية تركيب البرنامج، وعند الإنتهاء من عملية الشراء سيتم تحديث البرنامج في جهاز الأيفون عن طريق تطبيق إعدادات موقع البرنامج المذكور سابقا.0

بعد ذلك كل ما عليك هو ضبط إعدادات البرنامج كما هو موضح بالصورة التالية

الآن يمكن للايباد أو أي جهاز آخر الاتصال بالانترنت عن طريق الايفون. الصور التالية توضح شكل الايفون عند تفعيل الخدمة

في النهاية أحب أن أوضح أنني لم أواجه أي مشاكل خلال قيامي بالخطوات السابقة، ولكن الأجهزة والإعدادات تختلف من جهاز لآخر ومن مستخدم لآخر، لذلك لا أضمن عدم حدوث أي مشكلة خلال القيام بالخطوات المذكورة، لأننا وفي النهاية نقوم بالتلاعب على أنظمة آبل التي لم توضع عبث.0

Stand up comedy in Saudi Arabia

In the last couple of years, a new industry rose up in our closed and very sensitive society in Saudi Arabia, Stand up Comedy.

Couple of people tried and successfully managed to unofficially start this industry in Riyadh, Khobar and Jeddah.

At the beginning no one understood the concept of Stand up Comedy, and no one knew anything about these shows, and only few people attended them, also the comedians were not that famous.

Now it’s different, thousands of people from both genders are attending, and more famous comedians are brought to perform live. Also more media coverage is noticed, whether newspapers (like Saudi Gazette and Arab News), TV channels (like Alarabiya) and much more.
We even have our first comedy series in Saudi Arabia ever, called “ALMOST” created by Todd Nims from AB Media and Ali Kalthami which will air soon (trailer below).

Last month Luxury Events hosted a Stand up Comedy workshop at Prince Sultan University, the workshop was presented by the famous Palestinian / American comedians Dean Obeidallah and Aron Kader, and filmed by Rotana TV channel.

The workshop was the first one of its kind to be presented in Saudi Arabia (below you will find Rotana’s film plus the “behind the scenes” shots I’ve taken).

All the credit for the emergence of this industry in Saudi Arabia goes to Peter H Lees and his friends. Peter is a British guy lives in Saudi Arabia, he created a production company called Smile Productions, this company is responsible for many successful Stand up comedy shows, performed by a very famous comedians such as Ahmed Ahmed, Maz Jobrani, Dean Edwards and more.

For me, I’ve always liked Stand up Comedy, and I watch it regularly on TV. The first live Stand up Comedy show I’ve ever attended was the LOL comedy tour, which has been produced by Smile Productions, and I wrote a post about it last year.

Ever since, I started to check for any new shows, and buy their tickets as soon as they go for sale, I even dragged some of my friends and colleagues into some of them, and they loved the concept of this kind of entertainment.

There is one issue facing this industry though, official support. There is no specified venue for these kind of shows, no official advertisement, no official support whatsoever, and the producers are having difficult time managing the events.

I really wish we have some kind of official support to help this industry to grow. We have so many comedians in Saudi Arabia, some of them performs worldwide, we need to support them and their talent.

I hope this will happen someday.

معرض جيتكس 2010

قبل اسبوعين قمت بزيارة المعرض الدولي السنوي جتكس 2010 في مركز معارض الرياض بطريق الملك عبدالله.0

في البداية، عملية التسجيل في المعرض كانت سريعة وإحترافية بالرغم من الزحمة الكبيرة.0

تميز المعرض هذا العام بكثرة عروض التقنية المرئية والتي تعتمد على أجهزة العرض “البروجكتر” والتي تتعرف على حركة المستخدم في الكتابة والرسم إلى آخره على لوح العرض، وكذلك تقنيات الدعاية والاعلان الالكترونية.0

من الملاحظ هذا العام وجود شركات برامج مكافحة الفيروسات مثل شركة كاسبرسكاي، وشركة أفيرا.0

احدى الشركات عرضت تقنية لمسية مشابهة لتقنية مايكروسوفت سرفس للتحكم بالجهاز باللمس المتعدد.0

كما العادة استحوذت شركتي الاتصالات السعودية وموبايلي على مساحات كبيرة من المعرض والتي احتوت على معلومات كثيرة عن خدمات كل شركة.0

استخدمت شركتا الاتصالات الكثير من العروض التقنية والحية لجذب الجمهور لمعارضها، حيث استخدمت شركة الاتصالات السعودية شاشات كبيرة للعروض التفاعلية والتي تستخدم تقنيات جديدة للعرض والتي تجمع بين العروض الخيالية والحية في نفس الوقت.0

من جهة أخرى استخدمت شركة موبايلي تقنية مبهرة للعروض الهولوغرافية باستخدام أجهزة العرض “البروجكتر” والتي اتوقع تم توظيف شركة نوفرمر الهولندية لعملها، بالاضافة للعروض الحية والشبه بهلوانية.0

في أول أيام المعرض، صورت الصحف أول صورة بين المدير العام ومدير قسم التسويق في شركتي الاتصالات، وهي صورة تاريخية بعد الحرب الدعائية والتسويقية بين الشركتين.0

لم يكون هناك أي وجود لشركة زين للاتصالات بعكس ما توقعت عندما كتبت انطباعي عن المعرض السابق.0

ما استغربت وجوده بالمعرض هو وجود بعض العارضين الذين لا يمتون للتقنية بصلة مثل صحيفة سبق الالكترونية، والمكتب التعاوني للدعوة بالروضة.0

المعرض هذه السنة جاء أفضل من السنة السابقة، حيث خفت وتيرة التنافس بين شركة الاتصالات السعودية وشركة موبايلي مما سمح للزوار بالاطلاع على عروض باقي الشركات، ولكن بشكل عام لا زال المعرض يفقد الكثير من الاحترافية والتي تميزت بها المعارض العالمية مثل معرض جتكس بدبي، ومعرض سي إي اس بلاس فيجاس والتي لطالما حلمت بحضورها ولكن للأسف لم تسمح الظروف.0

وتتكرر المأساة في الرياض

في شهر ديسمبر من سنة 2009 كتبت مقال عن كارثة فيضانات جدة وما كشفته من تلاعب وفساد اداري في السعودية والذي سبب في حدوث خسائر بشرية ومادية.0

قبل يومين حدث في الرياض ما حدث في جدة، امطار غزيرة أظهرت ضعف البنية التحتية في العاصمة.0

وكما حدث في جدة ظهر التلاعب والفساد في مشاريع الصرف الصحي ومشاريع الطرق، حيث خلال ساعات فقط غرقت الانفاق وتحطمت الجسور وسقطت الأعمدة وحتى المشاريع الحديثة ظهرت عيوبها الإنشائية مثل غرق جامعة الأميرة نورة وسقوط اسقفها، وحتى المشاريع التي تحت الانشاء لم تسلم مثل انهيار جدار احد الأنفاق الجديدة هذا غير الخسائر في الممتلكات وخسائر في الأرواح.0

توقعت في مقال جدة أن يكون هناك محاسبة للمتسببين في الكارثة بعدما أعلن الملك عبدالله عن إنشاء لجنة للتحقيق فيما حدث ، ولكن ما حدث كان غير المتوقع.0

مضى إلى الآن أكثر من خمسة شهور على الكارثة ولم يحدث اي شي في التحقيق، مجرد بعض التوقيفات والمنع من السفر بدون ذكر أسماء أو تشهير والأغلب أنه ظهرت أسماء كبيرة في التحقيقات فتم لملمت الموضوع، وتعويض المتضررين لإسكاتهم.0

المشكلة أن حكومتنا مهتمة بما يحدث وحريصة على سلامة الأرواح والممتلكات، ولكن البطانة والحاشية هي التي تموه ما يحدث عن أعين المسؤولين فيتوقعون أن الأمور بسيطة وتم حلها بينما الواقع غير ذلك تماما.0

أتمنى بعد حادثتي جدة والرياض أن يكون هناك تحقيق فعلي تحت إشراف الملك عبدالله مباشرة ليتم محاسبة السارقين والمقصرين، وتفادي مثل هذه الكوارث في المستقبل.0
